As long as I can remember I've always loved reading, to the point as a child I use to read 3 to 6 books simultaneously because I couldn't pick which one to start with lol . To this day when I read, especially fiction books, it allows me to escape into the lives and worlds that the author has taken the time to create for us. This is great for when life throws you some curve-balls and your mind just needs a distraction from the real world. My goal for 2015 is to try and find balance between the important aspects of my life including my job, side hustle, spirituality, family, friends and other passions I enjoy. I recently realized that one passion I haven't made time for is reading. I always feel that I'm too busy or that something else needs to take priority and it gets pushed to the side, something I'm sure many of you can relate to. The reality is that reading does to my brain what exercise does for the body. It re-energizes, provides a sense of accomplishment and puts a smile on my face :)
I've decided to take action and have chosen 10 books to read throughout the remainder of 2015, and thought I would share them with you so that maybe it could inspire you to do the same. Now don't get me wrong, if I'm able to read more than these 10 books that would be awesome and these titles are not set in stone. My aim is to create some structure and hopefully re-introduce something back into my life that I've always loved while continuing to learn and work towards this years goal and journey of finding life balance. To keep myself accountable and on track I want to read one book a month and post a mini-review or key takeaways afterwards. Last month I read Blog Inc by Joy Deangdeelert Cho and this month I've started reading You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero. I've also made sure to included a few fiction books to keep it balanced and not just focus on books that relate to my side hustle ;) Checkout my list below and I would love to hear if you've read any or if you have suggestions of other books that have completely rocked your world!
